Volleyball Recap: Coram Deo Academy's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Coram Deo Academy won the last time they faced Lakehill Prep and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lions came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-16, 15-25, 25-10.

Coram Deo Academy found their leader in freshman Carolyn Gillen, who had 16 digs and 11 aces. Those 11 aces set a new season-high mark for Gillen. Addison Schwantner also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Coram Deo Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 24 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Coram Deo Academy's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7. As for Lakehill Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Coram Deo Academy will face off against Episcopal School of Dallas at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakehill Prep, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Burton Adventist Academy at 6:30 p.m. on September 18.
