Basketball Recap: Grand Prairie Comes Up Short

Grand Prairie lost against South Grand Prairie last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Grand Prairie Gophers took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Grand Prairie Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Gophers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Warriors are ranked 76th).

Grand Prairie's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for South Grand Prairie, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season.

Grand Prairie wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 74-42 victory against Arlington on the 14th. South Grand Prairie has also already played their next matchup, a 64-44 win against Haltom on the 14th.
