Basketball Recap: Waverly Comes Up Short

Waverly played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays, falling 71-38. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-20.

Despite the loss, Waverly still got an impressive performance from Ashton Heffelfinger, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Clarke, who had seven points.

Waverly's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Ashland-Greenwood, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
