Basketball Game Preview: Searsport Vikings vs. Lee Academy Pandas

The Searsport Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Lee Academy Pandas at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Searsport hasn't scored more than 21 points for 12 games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Last Thursday, Searsport was beaten by Jonesport-Beals 56-17.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lee Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on East Grand with a sharp 59-38 win on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Pandas as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Lee Academy's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-9. As for Searsport, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.

Searsport was taken down by Lee Academy 59-20 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Searsport avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
