Softball Recap: Freedom Takes a Loss

Freedom lost against Legacy Charter back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Freedom fell just short of Legacy Charter by a score of 3-2. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Freedom saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylin Braasch, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave Braasch a new career-high. Ja'Lynn Merriex also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Freedom's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Legacy Charter, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freedom will square off against Gateway at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Legacy Charter, they will challenge Real Life Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Real Life Christian Academy will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Legacy Charter surely won't give up without a fight.
