The Walden Grove Red Wolves can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They put the hurt on Rio Rico with a sharp 64-40 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Walden Grove has posted since November 24, 2023.
Ashton Romney continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Romney is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Green, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Walden Grove's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Rio Rico, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
Walden Grove will head out on the road to challenge Douglas at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rio Rico, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Amphitheater at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
