Gaston Day entered their tilt with Concord Academy on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-23, 26-28, 25-16.

Ava Blanton had an outrageously good game as she had 23 digs and three assists. That's the most digs she has posted since back in August.

Gaston Day's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Concord Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Gaston Day is set to face off against their familiar foe SouthLake Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Concord Academy will take on rival Westminster Catawba Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
