Recap: Kimball Knights vs. Hillcrest Panthers
The Kimball Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 60-7 loss at the hands of Hillcrest. Kimball has not had much luck with Hillcrest recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Emma Yurich was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with four steals for Hillcrest. The match was Yurich's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Clauriannys Berrios, who scored 12 points.
Kimball's loss was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-4. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.7 points per game. As for Hillcrest, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
Kimball will head out on the road to face off against Molina at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hillcrest will be home for the holidays to greet White at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. White will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
