Metlakatla won the last time they faced Haines and things went their way on Sunday too. The Metlakatla Chiefs had just enough and edged the Haines Glacier Bears out 44-42. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chiefs.

Metlakatla's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mia Winter, who posted 11 points. The dominant performance gave Winter a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Baileigh Nelson, who earned nine points.
