Softball Recap: Del Campo Comes Up Short

The Del Campo Cougars didn't have quite enough to beat the Yuba City Honkers on Tuesday and fell 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by just one run.

Del Campo saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katlin Tiss, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Sophie Wells was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Del Campo dropped their record down to 4-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Yuba City, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Del Campo will take on rival River Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Yuba City is set to challenge their familiar foe Placer at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
