Rio Rancho faced Farmington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Rams blew past the Scorpions 5-1. The victory was nothing new for Rio Rancho as they're now sitting on six straight.

Rio Rancho's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Farmington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-3.
