Arian Taylor was his usual excellent self, rushing for 115 yards and three TDs while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in November of 2024. Ty Hawkins also helped out with an impressive 95 receiving yards.
Liberty-Eylau's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out Micah Skaggs four times. Luke Baysinger refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Bryston Cornelious got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, after only ten points in their last contest, Tatum made sure to put some points up on the board against Sabine on Friday. The Eagles claimed a resounding 45-10 win over the Cardinals. The Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Tatum's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. As for Liberty-Eylau, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
Liberty-Eylau was able to grind out a solid victory over Tatum in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 36-26. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Leopards since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
