Basketball Recap: Halifax County Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

While it was all tied up 20-20 at halftime, Halifax County was not quite Person's equal in the second half on Monday. The match between them and the Person Rockets didn't end well, with the Halifax County Comets falling 63-47. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Comets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 78-59 back in December of 2024.

Halifax County's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7. As for Person, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Halifax County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mecklenburg County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Person, they are taking a road trip to square off against Williams at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
