Volleyball Recap: Kalleigh Lepard and Bella Breech Secure Win for Tokay

Tokay had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Franklin Yellowjackets. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-21, 25-6.

Tokay was led to victory by Bella Breech and Kalleigh Lepard. Breech had ten digs and three aces, while Lepard hit 62.5% for ten kills and eight aces and four digs. Those eight aces gave Lepard a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Tokay was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in three consecutive matchups.

The victory got Tokay back to even at 9-9. As for Franklin, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Looking ahead, Tokay will venture away from home to take on Weston Ranch at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Franklin, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Venture Academy on the 18th.
