Basketball Game Preview: Glendale Cardinals vs. Sierra Linda Bulldogs

The Glendale Cardinals will head out to square off against the Sierra Linda Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sierra Linda took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Glendale, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Glendale turned things around against Coronado on Wednesday. They walked away with a 48-40 win over the Dons.

Glendale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Michael Palomino, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards. What's more, Palomino also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2023. Simon Sinohui was another key player, putting up 11 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Sierra Linda was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-46 heartbreaker at the hands of Alhambra.

Glendale's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Sierra Linda, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Glendale was taken down by Sierra Linda 72-42 when the teams last played back in January of 2022. Can Glendale avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
