Softball Game Preview: Gabrielino Eagles vs. Rosemead Panthers

The Gabrielino Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Rosemead Panthers at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for Gabrielino and three for Rosemead.

Gabrielino lost 25-9 to St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Rosemead fell victim to South El Monte and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to the Eagles, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Gabrielino's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Rosemead, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Gabrielino beat Rosemead 8-5 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
