Laurel faced Cape Henlopen in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Bulldogs lost 17-8 to the Vikings. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Koby Shockley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. Caleb Boyce was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs.
