The Briggs Bruins are taking a road trip to challenge the Foxfire Phoenix at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Briggs will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
Briggs barely beat Walnut Ridge the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bruins blew past the Scots 8-1 on Monday. The Bruins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by seven runs or more this season.

Wyatt Martin made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits (and only one walk). Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.
In other batting news, Cameron Griffith was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That triple was his first of the season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Foxfire, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Cristo Rey on Wednesday, sneaking past 5-4.
Briggs pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.2 runs over those games. As for Foxfire, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
