Pembroke Pines Charter skates past Everglades with ease

In what's become a running theme this season, the Pembroke Pines Charter Jaguars gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Everglades 77-50 at home. The score was close at the half, but Pembroke Pines Charter pulled away in the second half with 49 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pembroke Pines Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jeremy Elyzee, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ramez Zayed, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.

When it comes to explaining why Everglades lost, one person who can't be blamed is Daunte Foster, Jr. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points. Chaz Chambers was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.

Pembroke Pines Charter has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Everglades, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pembroke Pines Charter will challenge Cooper City at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cooper City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 258th, while Pembroke Pines Charter is ranked 21st). Everglades won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Miramar at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th.
