Basketball Game Preview: Kenesaw Blue Devils vs. Shelton Bulldogs

Kenesaw hasn't had much luck against Shelton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Kenesaw Blue Devils will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Shelton Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Kenesaw is returning home triumphant after the team finally put their road woes behind them against Loomis on Tuesday. Kenesaw secured a 44-39 W over Loomis.

Kenesaw relied on the efforts of Sophia Schukei, who went 6 for 14 on her way to 13 points and seven rebounds, and Jorja Uden, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 11 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Uden a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Kelley, who posted seven points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Shelton took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 63-32 victory over Pleasanton. The win made it back-to-back victories for Shelton.

Shelton's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.3 points. As for Kenesaw, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Things could have been worse for Kenesaw, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-32 loss to Shelton in their previous meeting back in February.
