Baseball Recap: St. Raphael Academy Find Success

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but St. Raphael Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Rogers Vikings 8-7. That's two games straight that the Saints have won by just one run.

St. Raphael Academy pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Rogers, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

St. Raphael Academy will square off against West Warwick at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wizards will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Saints surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rogers, they will face off against Toll Gate at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
