Softball Recap: New Holstein Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for New Holstein's offense. They came up short against the Homestead Highlanders on Saturday, falling 11-0. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Huskies, who until this matchup were averaging 3.45 runs allowed.

With the defeat, New Holstein broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-6. As for Homestead, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-17.

New Holstein didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-0 victory against Cedar Grove-Belgium on the 17th. As for Homestead, they will host Grafton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
