Baseball Game Preview: Southeast Halifax Trojans vs. Warren County Eagles

For the second straight game, Southeast Halifax will face off against Warren County. The Trojans will welcome the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southeast Halifax has given up an average of 13 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Southeast Halifax came up short against Warren County on Tuesday, falling 19-11. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Arthur Joseph Jr. and James Bullock stepped up to the plate in a big way. Joseph Jr. scored a run and stole five bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Bullock scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Bullock is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Shamare' Jackson-Banks, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

The win was the third in a row for Warren County, bringing their record up to 6-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Southeast Halifax, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7-1.
