Volleyball Recap: Woodruff Takes a Loss

Woodruff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Broome Centurions. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wolverines have suffered since October 30, 2024.

While Woodruff had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-22, 25-22.

Harrison Rhodes paced Woodruff's offense, picking up nine kills. Rhodes got some help from Jensyn Turner and her 15 assists.

Woodruff's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Broome, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Woodruff will face off against rival Greer Middle College at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Broome is set to challenge their familiar foe Union County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
