Baseball Recap: Andover Comes Up Short

Andover lost to Totino-Grace back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Huskies fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Andover got a good showing from Jack Simpson, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. That's the first time Simpson hasn't allowed a single earned run since back in April.

At the plate, Andover saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Price Caron, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Andover has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-4 record this season. As for Totino-Grace, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-6.

Looking ahead, Andover will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Moorhead at 11:00 a.m. As for Totino-Grace, they will head out to square off against Elk River at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
