Baseball Game Preview: Parsippany Redhawks vs. Delbarton Green Wave

The Parsippany Redhawks are taking a road trip to square off against the Delbarton Green Wave at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Parsippany has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Parsippany might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-1 to Warren Hills Regional, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Parsippany saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryan Sunga, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Delbarton came tearing into Wednesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Millers 12-1. Considering the Green Wave have won four contests by more than ten runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Delbarton pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Parsippany, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Parsippany might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Delbarton in their previous matchup back in April of 2017. Can the Redhawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
