Trinitas Christian took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 20-3 margin over Gulf Pointe Latin. Considering Trinitas Christian's hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Chase Petersen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those RBI were his first of the season.

Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Trinitas Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .446. However, it's not like Central Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .502. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
