Currituck County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came out on top against the Martin County Gators by a score of 4-2. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Currituck County's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 237th, while Martin County are ranked 516th).

Currituck County now has a winning record of 7-6-2. As for Martin County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7-4.
