Baseball Game Preview: Vinton Lions vs. Rosepine Eagles

The Vinton Lions will take on the Rosepine Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Tuesday, Vinton got the win against Pickering by a conclusive 11-1. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Rosepine never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against East Beauregard as Rosepine made off with a 17-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Rosepine is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. Vinton's victory bumped their record up to 12-4.
