After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against South Mecklenburg, Garinger was happy to have turned things around  on Thursday. They walked away with  a   3-1  victory over the West Mecklenburg Hawks. The  win was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 21-25, 25-17,  25-15.
Garinger's  victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-8. As for West Mecklenburg, their defeat was  their fifth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 2-11.
 Coincidentally, Garinger and West Mecklenburg will both be playing Rocky River the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will head out to face the Ravens at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday, while the Hawks will head out to face them  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
