Spencerport proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 12) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Canandaigua Academy Braves 9-7. The victory was nothing new for the Rangers as they're now sitting on six straight.

Spencerport pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Canandaigua Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Spencerport will face off against rival Brockport at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Canandaigua Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Gates Chili at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
