Softball Recap: Berwick Takes a Loss

The Berwick Bulldogs lost 15-3 to the Athens Wildcats on Sunday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Berwick saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Yaritza Rivas, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple was Rivas' first of the season.

Berwick's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Athens, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0-1.

Berwick wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 17-2 defeat against Central Columbia on the 27th. Athens does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
