Basketball Recap: Watersmeet Takes a Loss

Watersmeet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 77-40 loss at the hands of the Ontonagon Gladiators. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gladiators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-55 back in December of 2024.

Watersmeet's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Ontonagon, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.

Watersmeet has already played their next matchup (against Baraga), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Ontonagon, they will head out on the road to face off against Ewen-Trout Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Ewen-Trout Creek's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
