Football Recap: Decatur Comes Up Short

After soaring to 37 points the game before, Decatur was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They fell 12-7 to the Mae Jemison Jaguars. If the Red Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 28-21 to the Jaguars when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Reid Roberson threw for 67 yards on eight of 17 attempts. Quaylen Hampton was his top target, picking up 49 receiving yards. On the ground, Isaiah Allen rushed for 88 yards.

Decatur's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Mae Jemison, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Decatur will square off against Cullman at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Mae Jemison, they will venture away from home to challenge Buckhorn at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
