Basketball Recap: Foothill Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Foothill played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Democracy Prep Agassi Campus Blue Knights, falling 76-56. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Blue Knights are ranked fourth).

Loss or not, Foothill got some senior leadership from Clinton Ezugha and Packer Kelley. Ezugha dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten boards, while Kelley went 5-for-10 to rack up 13 points and five rebounds. Kelley also brought in his first three-point shooting accuracy of the season. Antonio 'Reece' Velasco also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Democracy Prep Agassi Campus' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tai Coleman, who shot 71% from the field on his way to 15 points. The last time Coleman's field goal percentage was this high was back in December of 2024. Kaden Arnold was another key player, going 5-for-12 en route to 16 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Foothill and nudges their season record down to 2-5. As for Democracy Prep Agassi Campus, they pushed their record up to 2-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Foothill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-46 defeat against Canyon View on the 19th. As for Democracy Prep Agassi Campus, they have also already played their next contest, a 71-66 win against Casteel on the 19th.
