Volleyball Game Preview: Washington Township Senators vs. Hammond Central Wolves

The Washington Township Senators will challenge the Hammond Central Wolves at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Washington Township will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Washington Township proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Morgan Township 3-2.

Washington Township was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 22-25, 21-25, 25-19, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Hammond Central had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They won by a set and slipped past Hammond Morton 3-2.

Hammond Central's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Washington Township, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Everything went Washington Township's way against Hammond Central in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Washington Township made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Senators repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
