Volleyball Recap: Homestead Spartans vs. Leo Lions
Homestead won the last time they faced Leo and things went their way on Thursday too. The Spartans came out on top against the Lions by a score of 3-1.
Homestead had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-13, 25-19, 29-27.
Homestead can attribute much of their success to Avary Heady, who had five digs and two aces.
Heady wasn't the only good server: Homestead was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive games dating back to last season.
