After soaring to ten goals the game before, Elberta was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Michael Catholic Cardinals. Elberta haven't had much luck with St. Michael Catholic recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Elberta now has a losing record of 8-9-2. As for St. Michael Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6-1 record this season.

Elberta will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Foley at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for St. Michael Catholic, they have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Spanish Fort on the 15th.
