Starmount's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They put the hurt on the Alleghany Trojans with a sharp 58-37 win. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won nine in a row.

Starmount's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Molly Swaim, who went 5 of 8 to rack up 21 points. What's more, Swaim also posted a 50% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mackinzie Cox, who posted nine points and eight rebounds.

Starmount's victory bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Alleghany, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.

Looking ahead, Starmount will take on East Wilkes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Alleghany, they will face off against Surry Central at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
