Baseball Recap: St. Joseph Finds Home Field Redemption Against Lytle

There's no place like home for St. Joseph, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Lytle Pirates 6-5. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Flyers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Aiden Aragon and Zach Adams did most of the damage at the plate: Aragon scored two runs while going 1-for-2, while Adams scored a run while going 1-for-1. Those two runs gave Aragon a new career-high.

St. Joseph's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Lytle, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Looking ahead, St. Joseph will square off against St. Francis Episcopal at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Francis Episcopal will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something St. Joseph surely won't give up without a fight. Lytle has already played their next game (against Pleasanton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
