Football Recap: Temple Christian Comes Up Short on the Road Against Fort Worth THESA

Temple Christian kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 60-6 defeat at the hands of the Fort Worth THESA Riders. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Miles Page threw for 72 yards and one TD. Bryson Rife was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards and one score.

Fort Worth THESA had a senior duo take command as Lawson Grubbs rushed for 58 yards and a pair of touchdowns and Caleb Bright rushed for 26 yards and a pair of scores. Grubbs didn't just play on offense: he also made five total tackles and defended one pass. Zack Mattix got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Temple Christian has already played their next game, a 65-18 defeat against Victory Christian Academy on the 4th. As for Fort Worth THESA, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 69-0 win against Newman International Academy on the 5th.
