Basketball Recap: Chino Valley Takes a Loss

Chino Valley lost against Highland Prep back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Chino Valley Cougars fell 49-37 to the Highland Prep Honey Badgers. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Kendra Ibeh, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 boards for Highland Prep. Ibeh is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last 25 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Madison Lawrence, who dropped a double-double on 12 boards and ten steals.

Chino Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Highland Prep, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-5.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing ALA - West Foothills the next time they take the court. Highland Prep will head out to face ALA - West Foothills at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Chino Valley will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
