Baseball Recap: Woodland Hills' Losing Streak Snapped at 12 Games

Woodland Hills can bid farewell to their 12-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Penn Hills Indians, sneaking past 5-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

DeVaughn Earl-Hayden was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). He has become a key player for Woodland Hills: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-12 otherwise. Earl-Hayden was also big at the plate, earning one run and two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Jack Uram was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Marcello Fagnelli, who went 1-for-2 with four stolen bases and one run.
