Soccer Game Preview: St. Charles East vs. Lake Park

The St. Charles East Fighting Saints will head out on the road to challenge the Lake Park Lancers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

St. Charles East is headed into the contest having not lost since the 6th and will look to keep things rolling. They put the hurt on Normal University with a sharp 4-1 win on Saturday. Brendan Szerlong had the honor of scoring the game-winner for St. Charles East.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lake Park, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Batavia on Saturday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Lake Park were the better team in the second half.

Lake Park's win bumped their record up to 9-3-3. As for St. Charles East, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3-3.
