Basketball Recap: Sequim Takes a Loss

If Sequim was riding high fresh off their 69-42 takedown of North Mason on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolves took a 77-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bainbridge Spartans on Tuesday. The Wolves have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Sequim's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Bainbridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Sequim will be playing in front of their home fans against Port Angeles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolves will be up against the Roughriders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53.27 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bainbridge, they are taking a road trip to take on Clover Park at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Timberwolves have now posted at least 55 points in their last 17 matchups.
