Baseball Recap: Chenango Valley Comes Up Short

Chenango Valley was the 6-1 winner over Seton Catholic Central when they last played one another on Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell 5-1 to the Saints on Wednesday.

Cole Trebilcock made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played. Ty Stafford also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Chenango Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Seton Catholic Central, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

While Chenango Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
