Jurupa Hills has gone a perfect 8-0 against Eisenhower recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Spartans will host the Eagles at 3:45 p.m. Jurupa Hills is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
On Saturday, Jurupa Hills made easy work of Central and carried off a 7-1 win. The result was nothing new for Jurupa Hills, who have now won 11 matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Hunter Prall looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Alejandro Preciado was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Jeremy Calderon was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Jurupa Hills hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Eisenhower might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was Carter who claimed the real prize. The Eagles fell just short of the Lions by a score of 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by just one run.
Jurupa Hills' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Eisenhower, they now have a losing record of 9-10.
Eisenhower's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Jurupa Hills hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .380. It's a different story for Eisenhower, though, as they've only averaged .253. Will they be able to contain Jurupa Hills' hitters?
