Softball Recap: Garland Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Garland Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the First Baptist Saints, falling 20-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-4 on Thursday.

Grace Beaumont was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two doubles. Ella Wood also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Garland Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for First Baptist, the win keeps they at an undefeated 13-0.

Looking ahead, Garland Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Lakehill Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. First Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
