Volleyball Recap: Andes Central/Dakota Christian Comes Up Short

Andes Central/Dakota Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Burke Cougars. Andes Central/Dakota Christian was not able to make up for their defeat to Burke from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-8, 25-6.

Burke found their leader in sophomore Breckynn Pistulka, who had nine aces and seven digs. Those nine aces set a new season-high mark for Pistulka. Kyrie Matucha was another key player, getting ten digs and four assists.

Andes Central/Dakota Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Burke, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-2 record this season.

Andes Central/Dakota Christian has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Wagner on the 16th. As for Burke, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Gregory on the 16th.
