Baseball Game Preview: Chattanooga Christian Chargers vs. McCallie Blue Tornado

For the second straight game, Chattanooga Christian will face off against McCallie. The Chargers are taking a road trip to take on the Blue Tornado at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Chattanooga Christian will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating McCallie, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Chargers blew past the Blue Tornado 10-4 on Monday. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

Chattanooga Christian got a massive performance out of Andrew Petty, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those two runs gave Petty a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Will Fessler, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2.

Chattanooga Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McCallie only posted an OBP of .400.

The win made it two in a row for Chattanooga Christian and bumps their season record up to 12-6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for McCallie, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-11.
